Melt Accelerators
Organic Shopping Sprint
Get your products showing up for the searches that sell.
For ecommerce teams
For most retailers, Merchant Centre gets set up once and only revisited when something is disapproved. The feed runs, but product titles, attributes and categories are rarely written for the way shoppers search. The result is products that are eligible for free listings but seldom appear, while competitors with better feed data take the clicks. In four weeks we benchmark your Shopping visibility against competitors, fix the feed and product data that's holding you back, and push the improvements live through your feed.
Who it's for
- Retailers already in Google Merchant Centre who aren't sure how well they show in organic Shopping results.
- Teams where nobody clearly owns the feed, or where it's managed only with paid ads in mind.
- Brands that want a visible result quickly, without queuing for development time.
What you get
- A competitor visibility benchmark for your priority product types.
- Optimised titles, attributes and categories for your priority products, live in your feed.
- A list of product page fixes so the page and the feed agree.
- A baseline, and a results check-in around 90 days later.
How it runs
We benchmark visibility, review Merchant Centre health, optimise the priority products and set the changes live through a supplemental feed or feed rules. Product page fixes are handed over as a list unless CMS access is agreed. You approve at one point: the optimised titles before they go live.
Scope: Agreed up front by the number of priority products, for one feed and one country. Each further country or language feed is a separate extension.
What we need from you
Merchant Centre access, a product feed export, Search Console and analytics access, and one named contact.
What's not included
- Managing paid Shopping or Performance Max campaigns. The improvements often help paid performance too, but campaigns aren't managed.
- Re-platforming the feed or replacing a feed management tool.
- Full catalogue enrichment beyond the priority products (that's the Catalogue Enrichment Sprint).
- Ongoing feed monitoring after the check-in.
Proof
- Muddy Puddles: a two-month project reviewing the Merchant Centre feed, product data and product pages. After the Muddy Puddles team implemented the recommendations, organic Shopping sessions grew by 780% and organic Shopping revenue by 826%.
- Rat Betty: as part of a two-month project, Melt configured Merchant Centre for organic visibility and improved the product data sent to Google. Organic Shopping traffic grew 71% year on year ahead of Christmas trading.
The check-in and what happens next
Around 90 days after the changes go live, we review the results against the baseline and agree the next step from your data.
Continue into Shopping Intelligence & Feed Care, extend with another sprint or a Catalogue Enrichment Sprint, or pause while your team maintains the feed.
